A UK-based business had good data but no culture or capability for using it to make decisions. Having partnered with us on an advisory project, the client wanted help to embed the capability internally.
We formalised the analysis behind our advisory work to generate repeatable KPIs against key strategic initiatives, and worked with the executive team to understand current decision-making forums and processes. We identified three areas to develop: reusable reports against KPIs, a simplified central data model for querying, and the requirements for analytics hires.
The client has since hired an internal analytics team, and weekly trading meetings have moved from anecdote and single data points to clear, data-led decision making.
