An AdTech company running advertising across a large network of specialist publisher websites struggled to understand what drove gross revenue changes from one period to the next, and had been regularly missing budget due to market conditions.
We created a dashboard suite to support the publisher flywheel and automated the P&L calculations so performance drivers were visible from both a revenue and a cost perspective. We then built multiple forecasts, balancing ML-driven models with qualitative judgement on the customer base, and operationalised individual publisher-level KPIs and benchmarks.
The business gained a clear view of its performance drivers, showing that market headwinds were being offset by effective pricing decisions, plus an automated, daily view of cost, revenue and profit at the individual publisher level to continually track changes.
