Candidate privacy notice
Data Vision Services LTD ("DVS", "we", "us") is responsible for the personal data you share when you apply to work with us. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what your rights are. For any questions about your data, email careers@datavisionservices.co.uk.
What we collect
Your name and contact details. Your university, course and graduation year. Your right to work status and, if relevant, when your visa ends. Your answers to our application questions, your preferred assessment centre date and your earliest start date. Your online test results. Notes and scores from your interviews, case studies and assessment centre. Any adjustments you ask for, which might include health information. Optional diversity monitoring answers.
Why we use it
We use your data to assess your application, run our interviews and decide whether to make you an offer. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in hiring the right people, and taking steps to enter an employment contract with you. We check right to work because the law requires it. We use adjustment information only to support you through the process. Diversity answers are optional. We collect them on a separate form, never use them in hiring decisions and only report on them as anonymous totals.
Automated decisions
Our online test is scored automatically against a wide group of test takers. If your score falls below our pass mark, or you don't finish the test within a week, we won't progress your application. No one reviews that decision unless you ask. If you'd like a person to review it, email us within 30 days.
Who we share it with
We use trusted providers to run our process. Tally hosts our application form, TestGorilla runs our online test, Zapier moves your application into our applicant tracking system and Microsoft hosts our email, calendars, video calls and files. If a recruitment agency referred you, we'll share updates on your application with them. Some providers process data outside the UK. When they do, we rely on UK adequacy decisions or approved contract terms to protect it. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
If you're unsuccessful, we keep your data for up to 24 months after we tell you our decision, so we can get in touch about future roles and handle any questions about our process. After that we delete it securely. If you'd rather we deleted your records sooner, just email us.
If you join us, your application becomes part of your employee record.
Your rights
You can ask to see your data, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it or object to us using it. Email us and we'll reply within a month. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office on 0303 123 1113.
